Pettibone offers Cary

Pettibone/Traverse Lift LLC, a Baraga, Michigan-based manufacturer of material handling equipment, now offers its Pettibone Cary-Lift 204i rough terrain forklift with a new "scrap baler" attachment.

Pettibone/Traverse Lift LLC, a Baraga, Michigan-based manufacturer of material handling equipment, now offers its Pettibone Cary-Lift 204i rough terrain forklift with a new "scrap baler" attachment. The attachment enables the forklift to handle debris and materials in demolition and recycling applications.

The Cary-Lift 204i features an overhead lift arm design, giving operators full-front visibility when lifting or transporting loads. Additionally, Cary-Lift forklifts can tilt down 90 degrees for specialized lifting tasks.

According to Pettibone/Traverse Lift LLC, the 204i is powered by a 200-horsepower Cummins QSB6.7 Tier 4 diesel engine with DOC and SCR aftertreatment. The unit includes an engine-driven fan, cooling package and engine block heater as standard equipment. The forklift provides a maximum load capacity of 20,000 pounds and a maximum lift height of 16 feet.

The Cary-Lift 204i offers four-wheel drive with two-wheel, four-wheel and crab hydraulic power steering modes. With the wheelbase limited to 12 feet, Pettibone says the 204i can achieve a turning radius of 21 feet, 6 inches.

In addition, the Cary-Lift’s heavy-duty, solid steel frame design allows it to take full loads into sharp turns without sacrificing load capacity or stability. Hydraulic frame sway control and side shift capabilities help to stabilize loads by leveling the lifting frame when driving on uneven ground. The company says the machine’s sway cylinder moves 7 degrees both right and left of center. Additionally, dual joysticks provide controls to efficiently shift gears and control hydraulics.

Additionally, X-Command, a new Pettibone telematics program, is an optional feature that offers real-time access to machine data.
